Finchingfield Academy Nursery
Admissions to the Finchingfield St John the Baptist C of E Primary Academy Nursery is an entirely separate process to admissions to the school and does not come under the Finchingfield St John the Baptist C of E Primary Academy Admissions criteria or policy.
Admission to the Nursery is not a guarantee and is subject to availability of space on application.
Please note, a placement in the Nursery is not a guarantee of a placement in the school.
All three and four-year-olds are entitled to 15 hours of free early learning a week until they either go into a reception class or reach compulsory school age (the term following their 5th birthday).
Finchingfield St. John the Baptist C of E Primary Academy Nursery will admit applicants to its nursery from the September after the child turns three years of age.
Finchingfield St. John the Baptist C of E Primary Academy Nursery offers placements of 3 hour sessions:
mornings; 9am-12 noon and afternoons; 12.10pm-3.10pm)
These sessions can be funded by 3-4 year old Early Years Entitlement Funding or, where eligible, Extended Funding (where an application is made and accepted by Essex County Council by their deadline dates) or alternatively paid for in advance (for the term) by parents / carers.
Sessions in addition to the termly agreed sessions can be requested on a temporary or one off basis with prior arrangement with Finchingfield Academy / Canonium Learning Trust. These hours would be payable strictly in advance (£5.00 per hour / £15.00 per session) on ParentPay and are not guaranteed. They are dependent on availability and at the discretion of the Headteacher.
Finchingfield St. John the Baptist C of E Primary Academy Nursery offers an early start option, if places are available, for a child to begin their placement at the start of the next term after they turn three using their eligible funding or at a top up charge of £5.00 per hour.

How to claim Free Early Education Entitlement
Finchingfield St John the Baptist C of E Primary Academy will be able to claim funding from Essex County Council. The funding is paid directly to the academy on a termly basis.
Each term Finchingfield St John the Baptist C of E Primary Academy will ask you to sign a parent/carer agreement form. The form is your commitment to that childcare provider for your child’s place for that term. Finchingfield St John the Baptist C of E Primary Academy will then submit the form to Essex County Council to claim your Free Early Education Entitlement for the next term.
Application for places in the Finchingfield St John the Baptist C of E Primary Academy Nursery should be made directly to the academy by completing the application form below. Once completed online, they should be sent by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
