This half term the children have started their Spring has Sprung topic which is all about growing, plants and animals. In literacy the children have been reading Jack and the Beanstalk and have enjoyed joining in with the FEE FI FO FUM, planting their own ‘magic beans’ and some children have written instructions how to plant ‘magic beans’.
In maths this week the children have enjoyed looking at measurements. They have been busy looking for things that are tall, short, long, wide and narrow and comparing different items. They have also been talking about time, through the days of the week, and the language yesterday, today and tomorrow, daily school routines and timed activities.
Class 1 thoroughly making pancakes and learning about Shrove Tuesday.
We have all enjoyed our new tinkering table and developing our fine motor skills with the tools.
