The children had a fantastic day at Walton-on-the-Naze on Monday. They enjoyed hunting for seashells, limpets and barnacles on the sand and in rock pools and testing whether their pin wheels worked. Then great fun was had paddling in the sea and jumping the waves before finishing the day with an ice cream.
We have also been very busy writing about our trip to the seaside, exploring the similarities and differences in seaside trips past and present and doing lots of seaside themed counting and pattern making.
