This week Year 6 have started learning to ride their bikes safely with ‘Bikeability’. They used the playground to ensure they are safe riding and are learning how to signal when turning. Next week they will take to the roads and continue to learn to ride safely.
We are busy learning songs and lines for our play which we will perform next month. The children auditioned for their parts and members of the class voted for who would play each character. They are very excited about perofrming.
This week we have been learning about Maya religion and gods. We have researched the different rituals and gods they worshipped and are writing information texts to present our knowledge. We have also drawn our own Mayan gods in art and used water colours to paint them.
