Class one have been very excited to start their new topic SPLASH! this week. We have been busy finding out where water comes from, what we use it for and how it gets to our homes.
We have been exploring the different types of splash patterns we can make using paint, water squeezy bottles, syringes and pipettes.
We have talked about floating and sinking and investigated which objects float or sink. We made predictions and explained why we thought an object would float or sink before we tested.
In maths we have been looking at Capacity and using the language of full, empty, half full/empty, nearly full/ empty.
We look forward to next week learning about the weather, especially rain!
