This week class 1 have been talking about where they live as part of our Marvellous Me topic. The children have had great fun building and making different places for people to live.
They enjoyed using big boxes to make houses, bungalows a block of flats and even a castle before they became boats.
They used 2 dimensional shapes to make houses and talked about the shapes they were using and why they had chosen those shapes.
They have been junk modelling and have enjoyed cutting and gluing to make different types of houses.
Outside the children have been busy selling different types of construction bricks in the shop and moving them around to make giant constructions.
They have enjoyed hammering and sawing with the role play tools to make their own repairs to the play house.
Friday afternoon the children enjoyed a visit from class 3 who came and shared some story books with them.
