This week Class 4 have started to write a non-chronological information text about a mythical creature they have imagined. We began the week looking at examples of this type of text to create success criteria to help us improve our understanding of this genre. We have discussed how to use semi-colons in our writing and looked at relative clauses and adverbial phrases to help us improve the content of our writing to help engage our audience. We will publish these information sheets and display them on our classroom wall.
During our maths sessions we continue to deepen our understanding of place value: rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100, 1000, 10,000 and 100,000; investigating negative numbers; comparing and ordering numbers to 1,000,000.
