This week the children have been busy in their very own post office, writing and posting postcards and letters. Some children have created their own travel brochure’s and have been using these to sell holidays and book tickets for visits in the travel agent and tourist information centre.
In geography we have been inspired by the Katie Morag Island stories, and have began to explore the Isle of Struay. We have identified key features of the Island and even plotted a route walked by Katie Morag in Katie Morag Delivers the Mail. Next week we will begin to look at the features of Finchingfield and create our own map, which we will use to compare similarities and differences between the two places.
In Maths we have been learning about time. We have sequenced events using before and after, talked about the things we do in a day and when we do them and some of us have also read and made times on the hour and half past the hour.
Have a great weekend everyone.
