Week beginning 24th May 2021

Well what an exciting week.

On Monday we visited the church for a Pentecost Service, it was lovely to be celebrating together and Class 3 read the relevant readings clearly and with reverence. We enjoyed seeing Class 1 perform their poem.

During Science we performed the investigations that we discussed last week. We used our learning POWERS to overcome difficulties that we encountered and complete the task. On reflection some us decided that we needed to think carefully about what we were trying to investigate and really consider the importance of an effective and detailed method.

In Geography we discovered how contours are represented on maps. Ask your children about potato contours! We created models of mountains showing the contours to help us visualise the information from a map.

We have enjoyed building suspense and tension in our writing and look forward to creating a book of stories, which we hope to publish ourselves.

When we return, we will have P.E. on Wednesday and Thursday (week beginning 7th June 2021).

Have a great break and enjoy the weather.
