I just thought I would share with you our current procedures for changing your child’s reading book in class.
Every child has a reading book to read at home. When it is ready to be changed please ask your child to put it in the yellow tray. They will then be asked to choose a new book to bring home. Due to our current risk assessment an adult will verbally support the selection of a new book. This may mean your child brings the same book home more than once, this is OK. This will support understanding of the text, such as characters, events and aid the development of using expression.
On days that your child needs to change their book they may bring a small bag into school (book bag).
